Confidence: Medium
Showers this evening will come to an end. Rain will linger the longest over southeast Illinois and western Kentucky.
Patchy dense fog is a possibility tonight. Use care if visibility is reduced. Lows by Sunday morning will mostly be in the upper 40’s to lower 50’s.
Here is the 6 am visibility chart from the NAM model. This indicates the potential for fog.
Sunday and Monday
Confidence: Medium
Sunday morning fog and low clouds might be slow to mix out. That could mean somewhat lower temperatures Sunday morning. The sun should win out as we move through the day. Some high clouds may return late in the day.
Dry and mild. Highs in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s. Overnight lows in the 40’s.
Temperatures on Sunday will be highly dependent on cloud cover. Plenty of sun and we should pop above 70 degrees. If we do have clouds then mostly middle to upper 60’s. No rain, either way.
Monday will deliver a mix of sun and perhaps some clouds. Some increase in clouds is possible from west to east as the day wears on. Warm with highs well into the 60’s and lower 70’s. Spring!
Showers are likely to increase on Monday night and Tuesday. There is a small chance on Monday afternoon for a shower over southeast Missouri. Monitor updates. It appears the higher rain chances will arrive Monday night and Tuesday.
This does not look like a big rain event. Perhaps totals of 0.05″ to 0.25″. Small risk for thunderstorms.
Severe weather is not anticipated.
I am watching another system on Wednesday night. Maybe a few showers. Lower than normal confidence.
The long range charts look active. Several systems to monitor.
